My Favorite Scent So Far From O'driu and "Top 5 List" Worthy...

Lalfeorosa does not list dill spice as a note at all, but when I first put it on skin that is immediately what I smelled. The dill is joined shortly by other spices like fiery red pepper and maybe even a bit of saffron. The dill recedes, but the red pepper remains, coupling with a beautiful supporting rose note with hi...

This Is One Where The Vintage Juice Is Far Superior...

I used to wear this scent 20+ years ago. I loved it back then, and while I have moved on to other scents, I still have fond memories of Cool Water. It still smells great, and while it is an obvious self-clone by Boudon of his original creation Green Irish Tweed, I will disagree with most by saying I think it is a good...

If You Like Oranges And Lemons From Heeley, You Should Love This...

One of my favorites. Not too complex, just an opening blast of bitter orange and lemon a la Oranges and Lemons Say The Bells of St. Clements, that hangs around throughout the experience, mixed with a powdery dry down that melds with the citrus. This is a *very* potent scent, so I definitely recommend going light on the...

Soft Leather...

No, for those of you who are desperate to find a replacement for the discontinued and beloved Cuiron in my mind Cuoio is not quite it. That said, this composition easily holds its own with most other leathers and is a superb release by Odori in its own right. The top notes feature a super-natural smelling orange and be...

Another Disappointing Aquatic, But This One Will Empty Your Bank Account Quicker...

Aquatics are a tough scent category for me and it is extremely rare that I find one I like, let alone love. Unfortunately Tirrenico can be added to the list of aquatics that did not impress me (albeit less so than many others that are far worse). Tirrenico opens immediately with a gummy marine-like slightly salty sea-w...

Sweet , Very Sweet...

Very sweet... too sweet in fact. Its synthetic smell reminds me of candy apples mixed with a bit of Earl Grey tea. I kind of like the smell of the scent (and love the smell of Earl Grey), but it gets annoying quickly and it is way too easy to over apply and clear a room, severely limiting the times and places you can w...

This Jazz Sounds Good But Lacks Heart And Soul...

Lojazz opens with a banana-like tuberose and relatively sanitized jasmine floral duo. As the composition moves to its early heart the tuberose and jasmine florals remain as co-stars, adding lemon tinged magnolia and green violet additional floral support with a slightly sweet orange flower undertone. During the late dr...

Not My Kind Of Scent, But A Well-made Lavender...

Loriani opens with a breeze of pure lavender. The lavender remains throughout, but in the heart notes it is joined by herbs resembling a combination of marjoram, thyme and rosemary that give the lavender an almost mentholated undertone coupling further with a subtle orange blossom that sits well in the background. The...
