Cold narcissus!

Narcissus + plum! Both are dominating the scent. Heavily rococo, opulent, but good. The rich but in a "I'm portraying the past" not richi as "Look at me! I can afford that!" kind of scent. I like BPAL's narcissus. For once, a rare BPAL scent that is not warm; it becomes cold very soon, even if not as cold as Crow Moon....

I do totally agree with the fellow reviewer, this is an amazing cave scent.

Even if its very different from it, it gives me the same vibes of Nightflyer by Olympic Orchid. But this cave is less humid. It starts with a hint of floreal notes (jasmine sambac, I suppose), and then mineral accords do marry the incense, becoming a mix between something sacral and abandoned. But it's not desert, its...

Made me grimace a little.

Don't get me wrong, I like smokey scents. But I took a look at the notes and understood immediately: it's the ambergris. For some reason, on my skin, it overpowers everything else. After the initial "grinding my teeth in pure hatred" moment, I try to concentrate on the other notes. I still wish I could feel something e...

Im not type A, so I cant say anything about it.

But for being a green scent, its really pleasant! I normally struggle to get a tomato leaf, and here it's pretty noticeable. Usually, in most of the perfumes I've tested, it gets overpowered by other notes. Here, it's the first time I've noticed it. I'm glad it doesn't smell like basil tho, because basil reminds me of...

Hell on earth.

This is what hell smells like - a very distinct sulfur note, very strong and linked to the metallic ones in the opening. Blood is not as prominent as I thought, it's mostly sulfur but I enjoy in a way I couldn't explain. Strictly masculine scent (but I tend to gravitate towards masculine scents the most). Birch tar and...

Beware of zombies!

Dirty, humid soil. This is a dead stack of leaves - if you look better, you can see skeleton fingers clutching to the dirt. The kind of green that doesn't bother me since it's really humid and decaying. A kind of Dawn of the Dead scent. All of this happens at night - there is a coldness, sharpness in it that makes it v...

Bergamot ruins it.

The opening is fruity, and I get a hint of the apple, but bergamot is too intense and ruins it. I can't get any blackcurrant. Luckily, after that sting thats the opening, it settles down to a nice scent, the patchouli taming the citrusy notes in the opening, making it drier scent, and then you get a woody-musky fragran...

If "Batcave" its gothclubbing in the 80s, this is pure 90s.

The leather feels like latex. The accord of lipstick is there, even if its difficult for me to describe it, but it's THERE. It feels a bit like a fetish goth club - not that I'm complaining. The sillage is lighter than Black Cat, but the scent is better! I wish Amorphous dared with a bit of patchouli tho, but the leath...

Very prominent merlot!

I'm a sucker for wine scents, so if you're not into that - this one isn't for you. I don't get a lot of frankincense nor smoke, but definitely woody notes and moss, it's like an unholy eucharistic rite in the middle of the night in a forgotten church. I honestly appreciate this, as most of the "mass" centered perfumes...

Rain soaked moss.

I can't ask for anything else. I'm sorry, I'm losing my shit today. Usually I am "famous" for my low rate but these scents touch all my soft spots. This is mossy! And wet! And delicious! The grass accord seem almost straightly cut, add some green juiciness to it. Like rolling in a wood with the rain scent still all ove...
