Confidential
Confidential would fit the scent very well.. it somehow creates an intimate aura, also somewhat erotic-sensual. The concentrated fruit power at the beginning, mainly smelling of blackcurrant, instantly lifts the mood and creates a first wow! Almost reflexively, I think of Aqaysos, even without the concentrated musk, wh...

Sauvage 2.0 - Facelift or Deo-Style?
Over the months, I found myself liking the controversially discussed and rated EDT more and more. Reactions and comments were either heaven or hell, with not much in between. For me, it’s not a scent that makes me click my tongue, but it’s definitely a good bit above average. Its big plus: it’s suitable for any occasio...

Can Daxon outdo Fahrenheit?
Until recently, I was completely blank regarding this brand. I saw it for the first time at Mussler in Stuttgart, where all the bottles were lined up, 7-8 pieces at least. The saleswoman immediately presented me with the Iridium alongside an espresso and a glass of water (what a welcome!), but it didn’t stick in my mem...

This must be heaven!
Sometimes I slide away Silently I slowly lose myself Over and over Take comfort in my skin Endlessly Surrender to my will Forever and ever I dissolve in trust I will sing with joy I will end up dust I’m in heaven (Heaven - Depeche Mode) Heaven catapults me back to the early 90s. My "wildest" time, when I lived in the d...

Odin's Melt
Also another beautiful brand, even though so far no bottle has taken root with me! I like the typical Odin melt, where sweet notes blend with woody, piney, or smoky nuances. Roam, Petrana, Amanu, or Tanoke are good examples here. It's quite similar again. Auriel has this very light Campino candy note (dark red, blackcu...

X.............................................X (Placeholder for Speechlessness)
My dear Aunt Lilly...I don't know if I should be grateful to you or send a lightning bolt to Vienna;-) But I think I'll choose the former:-)! Flowchart for Lilly: She raves about a fragrance, sends a package, Dave MUST buy the fragrance...that's how it often goes..and will eventually mean my financial demise:-)! Yes..a...

Like a wine tasting..
...one should ideally test perfumes in the early morning/forenoon, as palate, nose, and tongue are still unburdened. Said..done! Yesterday at Breuninger, I was quite surprised to encounter Pura, as I had been told two weeks prior that it would only be released in September. It wasn't even prominently displayed on a spe...

Go where the pepper grows...
...actually fits quite well as a title for the new oriental collection from Atelier Cologne...it could also be called "Around the World in 80 Days" with the "worldwide" (?) ingredients. Wow, what they have "gathered" for Poivre Electrique is absolutely insane, which would explain the slightly higher price for the serie...
