gone is not gone
One more hug, a smile, and he is gone: From our loving, playful summer hours, only his scent remains in the pillows, on my skin, in the hotel room. And even this will soon fade, soon only be a memory. A spicy-green memory of the loving hours in the shade of densely leafy, fruit-bearing citrus trees, of the play of his strong, yet so sensitive hands with the ripe bergamots he picked and how he coaxed their typically fresh, fruity scent while peeling them; we wanted to know how these fruits taste. Do they really taste so spicy-bitter and are they as sour as they say? (Best to leave it be!) But this ethereal oil from their peels, he tenderly spread on my heated skin, along with the scents of roses, sun, and summer that caressed me additionally. I hadn't felt so comfortable for a long time as on our island among wild-growing aromatic and always herbaceous rosemary, special rose geraniums with their fine vanilla-like aromas, which in contrast smell so floral, warm, and feminine: a delicate powdery hint of iris envelops my skin, so hungry for his tenderness. A summer love of special moments: A tender encounter on sensually patchouli and vetiver-scented ground, among plants and their spicy fragrances, and as an enticing addition, his personal, seductively masculine scent of amber and musk, while his heated skin touched mine, which he had previously so tenderly pampered with the fruity-rosy oil. It is morning, he is gone: But these moments still linger as fragrant memories in my hotel room. Should I perhaps hang the sign "Please, don’t disturb" on the door so that the room is not cleaned today, but instead preserves his special scent and the memory of him a little longer? Should I forgo showering? Oh, I don’t know; I live in a two-person scent cocoon that I don’t want to leave so quickly. These questions are answered by "He left his Cologne in my bedroom". Here a scent story is told that we have all likely experienced, which is why this composition surely resonates with many people, evoking memories! To preserve beautiful, loving memories and longings in southern summery aromas in a fragrance is indeed a very special art: Here, dreams are sprayed! Updated on 10/23/2024
