The Blue/Leather All-Rounder
0 found helpful
the scent smells really good and pleasantly fresh. Especially the mandarin from the top note is immediately noticeable - it gives the whole fragrance a really nice, fresh kick. The longevity is rather average, so it doesn't last forever, but it's perfectly fine for everyday use. I bought it because a perfume YouTuber mentioned that the scent is a mix of all the well-known blue fragrances. I can't really confirm that. Nevertheless: overall, it's a solid scent that can be worn anywhere without any issues, whether at work, in leisure, or when meeting friends.

Leather for Summer

This scent flew far under my radar for a long time. Then I (thankfully) got a sample, and a wonderful summer fairy tale began. Starting with a zesty note of mandarin that blends with the aromatic freshness of sage. In the heart, an exotic mix of pineapple and pepper unfolds, giving the fragrance a lively dynamism. The base notes of smooth leather and musk provide depth and elegance to the perfume. I’m actually the last person who likes leather scents, but this one has captivated me. I can't describe it, but everything just fits perfectly. For me, it's a solid 10.

Simple and Average

It opens fresh, mostly leathery and citrusy, also slightly spicy and herbal and is mostly linear. Smells good but not great or anything special/unique. Average performance. Very versatile, can wear it anywhere and anytime. Quite disappointed to be honest, expected more. If u have a collection of perfumes then u can definitely skip this. Updated on 07/09/2023

The Grown-Up SoCal

OMG, this is awesome! During my teenage years I wore SoCal Cologne almost every day; I just loved that scent. Upon the very first spray, I get a seemingly endless flashback of my teenage years and an inexplicable association with Hollister. Wow. Then I looked up the notes online; and indeed - suede, pineapple, rosemary in SoCal Cologne, compared to Al Ameed with leather (for me suede), pineapple, sage, pepper, mandarin. This one has less sweetness, much more spice from the pepper, and herbaceousness from the sage. But this base DNA of pineapple-suede-herbs is just unmistakable for me. It's really as if the 14-year-old SoCal Cologne has grown into a handsome man. Wow. Instantly one of my favorite fragrances. Updated on 05/16/2024

He offers many fragrance directions

The Al Ameed really surprised me, as it goes in many different fragrance directions. I really liked the signature. The longevity on my skin is more than 10 hours with a quite solid sillage. The top note starts off fresh, aquatic, and citrus-fruity thanks to mandarin peels, bergamot, pineapple, and a certain shower gel aroma. The heart note offers oriental spices and a pronounced leatheriness. I sniff pepper, sage, nutmeg, allspice, and cinnamon. The base is woody, smoky, sweet, and still leathery with hints of musk and tonka beans. In the end, I find the Al Ameed really good and thank Sören for the decant.
