Rêveur

This was quite nice, although honestly I do prefer Rosewater & Ivy overall. I distinctly recall the rose in the leading role, with a gentle lacing of vanilla. Not necessarily a creamy, cakey or gourmondish vanilla - moreso a clean vanilla. This struck me as a "cool" toned fragrance oddly (or maybe not so odd, I own vanilla absolute and it's not as warm or edible as most synth vanillas), not as warm or inviting as the packaging suggests. Definitely more naturalistic than most B&BW offerings. I passed on it because I own a lot of fragrances from a similar lane, but I'd recommend it if you want something mellow.

Pleasant rose and vanilla fragrance. I detect a bit more rose than I do vanilla. I do not detect any other notes. Worried it might be greasy since it is "essential oil," but it is not greasy at all. That is the good part. The bad part is the scent is a true skin scent. It has zero projection and sillage. Longevity is very poor as well. You literally have to press your nose against your skin to detect it. I bought two bottles based on my experience with the Rose Vanilla 3 wick candle from a couple of years ago. At least one bottle is going back. The other one I may keep for intimate moments or at venues where I do not want my fragrance to shout. It might also help as a base layer to another weak rose forward fragrance. It is not much of a moisturiser, but that is fine by me. I did not want to add a lot of oil to my skin. It may perform better on fabric, but I am not sure I want to risk staining. I am very disappointed because I expected this to smell as good as the Rose Vanilla 3 wick I had a few years ago. This is not worth its list price in my opinion. Not even sure it is worth the sale price (I paid about 1/3rd of the regular price) because the performance is so poor. I do not think it would be worth adding to bath water. I think water would totally dilute any fragrance it has in it. It might be nice if you want to apply it to an infant. Cuddle your infant and be able to smell this fragrance at least for an hour. It is just so weak that I cannot think of many uses for it. The upshot is that the fragrance is pleasant and enjoyable if you want to walk around with your nose pressed against your skin, but do not expect to be able to detect it for more than an hour, and even then, it requires you to sniff your skin to detect it.
