Against the Wind
By "Against the Wind," I don't mean a storm, but the television series that was filmed at my regular vacation spot. It's been a long time since I watched the filming there. I would love to be back there again. But when, for known reasons, is currently uncertain. Only luck allowed it to happen last year. There is always a stiff breeze blowing from the sea, and when it doesn't blow, the wind comes from the land, bringing with it the most diverse scents depending on the season. The dunes, interspersed with wild roses, have their own fragrance as well. In the distance, there is the lighthouse with its two keeper's houses. One can imagine this scent here, as it has several facets and brings a feeling of summer and sea with it. The beginning for me is like when the wind comes from the sea with lemon, sea salt, a hint of mint, and you can feel the freshness. Then the wind shifts and comes from the land. Now the floral scents mix, where the peony and violet compete for who smells the best. Then the wind turns towards the dunes, and it becomes more robust, woody. If you spin around quickly now, you have the scent of Beach Club in your nose. Fresh, cheerful, and slightly fruity without any single note dominating. The longevity is very good at around 6 hours. The scent lingered even longer afterward. A fragrance for all who love the sea. I find the simple bottle very good, as it fits well in a backpack or bag. Updated on 03/12/2021
