Call me silly, but for a fragrance called AMBER D'ORO (GOLD AMBER), I was expecting an amber-based oriental with golden references & overtones. Silly me. AMBRE D'ORO is a dreadful little white floral that could be an Ellen Tracy flanker. Actually, that would be an insult to Ellen Tracy flankers. Run away, far, far away.

Actually a very nice scent, but without edges and corners, so definitely not a signature fragrance. None of the listed notes stand out; everything combines into a very soft, feminine, moderately sweet, floral mélange that hardly changes throughout its development and could have had significantly more potential with the help of one or two animalic or woody notes. However, the amber is very nicely embedded. All in all, a fragrance that you can't go wrong with. However, it is quite weak in projection, meaning no significant sillage and gone after a maximum of 3-4 hours. But sometimes, that's exactly what you need. Well suited for people who want to smell pleasant and unobtrusive and do not want to stand out.
