How wonderfully chypre is THIS one!?!!
Wow, another "great oldie" from the 70s! Found at a flea market, original in a 25ml screw-top bottle. And not a trace of being "off" or even slightly damaged. Everything is there, from the "head" to the "feet." And the "heart" in between still beats clearly and regularly! I’ve already "baptized" it and I’m thrilled! My "chypre nose" is immediately sniffing it double and triple. First comes a burst of cheerful and very green galbanum, before the wonderful herbal and citrus scents cheerfully greet my nose right after. Just that alone is an olfactory delight! Very soon, a "rich" clove scent appears, paired with earthy vetiver, rosemary, lavender, ripe patchouli, and creaky woods. Still "classy" and a real rough-and-tumble rascal! This does not go unanswered by the mosses, which don’t take long to show up. The "mugwort" makes a slightly bitter expression, but that’s just part of the "fern-like" impression. When it then quietly "incenses" in between, the scent is complete. And it lasts a very long time in this phase. Even though "Vetiver de Puig" sometimes comes across as ferny, in my overall impression, it’s a fully grown chypre scent. With the greatest potential for enthusiasm!
