the more beautiful oil version of the famous citrus clone

0 found helpful

SUMMARY Well-known Aventus clone/dupe as pure perfume oil. Quite a beautiful, citrusy interpretation of Aventus, which I prefer over the EdT/EdP versions of Club de Nuit Intense Man Eau de Toilette and Club de Nuit Intense Man Eau de Parfum. Somewhat nicer, softer, rounder, and extremely long-lasting, but less projecting due to the absence of alcohol as a carrier. Excellent as a layering base under alcohol-based fragrances, especially under its own EdT/EdP versions: projection from the spray, longevity and softness from the oil. LONG BLAHBLAH Club de Nuit Intense Man Eau de Toilette is probably the most famous Aventus clone on the planet. The perfume oil version of it is hardly known, but for me, it is the more interesting variant. Pure oil, no alcohol, different feel on the skin. What I perceive: a quite beautiful, distinctly citrusy interpretation of Aventus. I definitely prefer the result. Nicer, softer, rounder. While the EdT/EdP versions come across as somewhat rougher and more synthetic to me, the oil has a more pleasant texture. The compromise with the perfume oil is, of course, the projection. Without alcohol as a carrier, the initial "punch" that alcohol-based fragrances have, which throws the notes into the room, is missing. The oil stays closer to the skin, more intimate, more personal. Some may find this bothersome, but as someone who usually only applies 1-2 sprays and sees strong sillage as more of a problem, it doesn't bother me that much. It lasts practically forever. The longevity is impressive, significantly longer than with the alcohol-based versions. Longevity is extremely good, the oil lasts almost all day and beyond. A nice side effect: perfume oil is excellent as a layering base. Spraying an alcohol-based fragrance over the oil generally works very well because the oil serves as a long-lasting foundation on which the spray fragrance adheres better and unfolds more beautifully. The combination with the alcohol-based Club de Nuit Intense Man versions works particularly well: you get the initial punch and projection of the spray, while the oil underneath provides extreme longevity and a softer, rounder base. Essentially the best of both worlds. Sillage is close to the skin to subtle. Those who need strong projection are better served with the alcohol-based versions. Those who appreciate discreet long-lasting presence, here. The bottle is an oil vial with a cumbersome, non-screwed cap and glass stick, nothing special, but functional and acceptable for the price range. The list price is not okay, but practical prices are acceptable to good nowadays. The oil is extremely economical (I estimate 1ml corresponds to at least 4ml EdT/EdP) CONCLUSION The more beautiful, citrusy, softer version of the well-known Aventus clone in oil format. Less projection due to the lack of alcohol carrier, but extreme longevity and a rounder, more pleasant overall impression. I clearly prefer it over the EdT/EdP versions. Updated on 04/03/2026

Aventus?...Club de Nuit Intense...? Unfortunately, none of that

0 found helpful

I am really a huge fan of Aventus and all its clones. Sure, the perfume is practically advertised and presented by everyone, but I just love it. A great everyday scent that everyone seems to like, is somewhat rare, and above all, one that I enjoy smelling all day long. What is the logical consequence? I buy everything that goes in that direction and smells like it. That's how I acquired the fragrance oil for 44 euros on Amazon since I couldn't find it anywhere else. In general, I have few oils as they always seem a bit too cumbersome to apply. However, I made an exception this time. The bottle is okay and comes with an elongated glass stick for applying the oil. I've tested it now 4-5 times and I think I can say something about the scent, longevity, and sillage. I started with a little and gradually increased the dosage. In the first minute, I smelled a hint of Aventus. However, there was no smokiness to be detected, and the pineapple was more like a lemon. Okay, I thought, not a big deal, let's see what else comes. For the next hour, I kept smelling it from time to time. Unfortunately, the scent hardly changed. After 2 hours it was still noticeable, and after 3 hours, the scent resembled more of a lemony Nivea cream... I am somewhat disappointed. I knew that an oil wouldn't project as strongly, but this was quite weak. Especially because I am used to much more longevity from Arabic oils. However, the most disappointing part was not the longevity but the scent development. In the end, it had as much to do with Aventus as Bruno Banani does with Amouage. Very unfortunate, especially for the price. To be honest, I also ordered the oil to experiment a bit to see if I could mix the oil and CdNI for even better longevity. I will try it in a 75% (perfume) to 25% (oil) mixture in a 30 ml bottle. However, I don't have high hopes after the initial disillusionment. (I will keep you updated after the bottling and a storage period of 5 weeks) My advice to anyone wanting more longevity is to get Al Haramain L' Aventure or CdNI and apply a few extra sprays or fill some into a small spray bottle and reapply. I think the oil is really only for hardcore fans or for people who don't like the alcohol and the "biting" in the perfume. What remains is a nice summer oil with an Aventus lemon note for a somewhat inflated price. What a pity...
