Caramel Candies.....

The first spray is scratchy, herbal, viscous, tolu balsam? The perfumes I know that contain it: Youth Dew or Dolce Amalfi are extremely impressive. Sweet Temptation strikes me the same way. With saffron, ginger, cinnamon, and orange, I think of Christmas baking. Far from it: rather bitter, dark green spicy with a splash of freshness. With this complex list of ingredients and formula, my nose is occasionally overwhelmed. It is not a heavy scent, but it changes multiple times. Then the heart note sets in, creamy, buttery, caramel-like, soft. The longevity is out of this world, about 10 hours. A little tolu balsam wafts up repeatedly. This makes the scent extraordinary. The sweet temptation and delicious sweeties on the table. At that price, I’d rather reach for calorie bombs. Looking at the ingredients, €10 for a milliliter is not justified at all. Somehow, the church has to stay in the village. Even if the scent is completely newly crafted when it is sold out, that does not justify this amount. Nonetheless, I find the scent mysterious and tasteful, one that everyone should experience on their wrist.

Amber Woody Delicious

Sweet Temptation from Switzerland's Parfums d'Elmar Haute Luxury Niche Perfumery House is an Extrait De Parfum Oriental Amber Woody Spicy Balsamic Unisex; it was launched in 2018 and the nose behind this fragrance is Mark Buxton. The perfume starts with ginger that adds its shine to a beautiful bouquet of jasmine that is further sweetened by a delicious orange to make you salivate; one of the best orange notes I've ever felt. It continues to mix with balms and spices, intertwined with styrax resins and a sweet saffron, followed by a soft and sensual woody ambery base of benzoin and vanilla. It finishes warmed by noble woods and a light sprinkle of an incense 'oud smoky leaving the fragrance slightly resinous counterbalancing the initial fruity citrus accord. A true masterpiece of perfumery! A luxurious perfume that is super elegant, amber, spicy, woody, resinous and balsamic; A semi-gourmand flirting with the smoky without becoming in fact, sophisticated, sweet fragrance, exquisite sweet, rich and soft. Delicious perfume to make your mouth water. Exceptional quality, with good performance. It is certainly among the favorites of my collection! Updated on 05/18/2026

Complex and beautiful

I can honestly say this was the biggest surprise for me from the line. Originally I really enjoyed this and elixir d'amour ( favouring slightly elixir d'amour ) however after a month of use i'm now starting to understand and appreciate this scent so much more than I ever thought I would, it's definitely a grower that needs time. Imagine a very sweet, smooth, almost airy creamyness mixed with resins that isn't overpowering in any way. I easily got 12+ hours on skin with amazing sillage and medium projection. The blending here is so good that the evolution in scent profile is all incredibly natural. Best scent ( as well as elixir d'amour ) i've smelled in 2020 and in all fairness probably of all time!
