Decaying Peach & Jasmine

0 found helpful

This is the fragrance that kick-started my fragrance obsession. I really went in head first and blind-bought a full bottle on a whim with zero fragrance experience, no clue what notes I liked, just thought it sounded cool. Which was incredibly risky in retrospect because I now know that sandalwood and oakmoss are very hit or miss for me, but wow, is this ever beautiful! On my skin, I mostly get jasmine and patchouli with a burst of peach in the opening. Do not buy this if you don't like patchouli. Someone asked me if I work in a flower shop while I was wearing this, I think because it’s not just flowers, but also soil and moss. It's damp, heavy, dirty, intoxicating. Unisex leaning feminine. I actually think this works in any season or as a signature scent, but I do prefer it in the evening. It's worth noting that I have a sample of the perfume oil as well, and I don't find there's much of a difference except that the projection and longevity are better for the EDP. This is the "summer has officially ended and I can finally retreat into the shadows" type of fragrance. It's also the "I'm reading my cat's tarot spread over some tea and biscuits in the conservatory while it's pourin' out" fragrance. Now, I'm someone who doesn't follow seasonal rules, I wear whatever I bloody want whenever I want. This however is probably best left out of the summer period. The only negative I have to say about this perfume is that IT'S A LIMITED RUN! The cruelty...
