On a beautiful sunny day…

… we lie and sit on a clearing in the woods around the campfire. The wood and smoke blend with the aromas of the plums and dates that we hold over the campfire to roast. A bottle of rum accompanies this. The fire spreads a spiciness, and the forest around us exudes something dark and mysterious. We have placed a ring of stones around the campfire for safety. It is simply cozy and sociable. When applying this fragrance, the first thing that hits the nose is a dark fruity floral accent framed by the alcoholic notes of the rum. The dark accent remains and is joined by spicy woody and smoky accords. This perfume becomes even darker, enriched with resinous and vanilla twists. This scent is dry from the very beginning. With its masculine twist, it tends more towards the gentlemen. The longevity and sillage are good. Here we have a unisex fragrance from the house of Giradino Benessere, which is a subsidiary of Tiziana Terenzi, and that is exactly what it is, even though I see this more with the Signori than the Signore, but as always, try it out. I would say this perfume with its dark accent is suitable for wearing from around 25 and upwards. For me, this fragrance is an all-rounder that can be worn all year round. During the day, it works well in the office, at a meal, a meeting, while shopping, or even in a café. In the evening, it is an elegant companion at the opera, a concert, dinner, an exhibition, in a bar, in a club, or even on a date. Anyone who enjoys a dark fruity floral alcoholic spicy woody smoky resinous masculine vanilla scent should take a look at this one. Paolo Terenzi has once again created a beautiful fragrance here.

Those looking for the "cellar" will find an "attic"...

...because it is quite a "dusty" representative of its kind. Up "there" is a large window, letting sunlight shimmer through frosted panes. Many old wooden furniture pieces, most still somewhat intact, are stored here. A kitchen cabinet from the 1950s is among them. With all sorts of spice remnants in glass little drawers. Nutmeg and cloves, cardamom, even some shriveled dried plums, preserved in the dry attic air. A lot of books that have been exuding their sweet-woody, almost vanillic lignin scent for years. And a long-empty rum barrel that subtly scents everything. Of course, there are also some dusty perfume bottles from long ago, from which remnants of the fragrances they once housed escape. A lot of patchouli, which has lasted the longest. In all possible shades. From bright grass green to dark earth brown. And vetiver. This duo once fixed the contents of the fragrance bottles. And remains. I can also catch a whiff of a little amber. A gentle twilight prevails, powdery dust particles dance before the large window panes, clinging to a faint floral aroma. Oh yes, there are also some incense cones, once lit, then extinguished. Fine clouds of frankincense curl up imaginatively, far away yet still perceptible. It’s autumn, and outside, despite the sunny weather, a cool wind is already blowing. But most of that stays outside. Except for tiny cracks and crevices in the whitewashed masonry. Is it the musk that sets tiny cold accents? Otherwise, the incoming sun warms the large room and supports everything in the slightly melancholic vintage scents :-))

Snappy, great scent.

Woody church attic. Core fruits have been drying there for hundreds of years. There's plenty of rum too. Some monks enjoy a drink now and then. The guy next to the barrel smells of incense and old wood. Nice earthy, dry, and has a very subtle fruity sweetness. Vanilla is also present, subtly in the background. Clear Terenzi edges. For the price, it's definitely worth having. Classic in old-school niche quality. Comes into its own in late summer/autumn. Updated on 05/02/2024

Alcoholic Forest Floor

This fragrance starts with a strong, dry patchouli note that immediately sets the tone. But instead of getting lost in dusty earth, it is elegantly broken up by rum, sweet date, and ripe plum. This fruity, liqueur-like sweetness brings an interesting warmth into play. As the scent unfolds, an image of damp forest floors emerges - dark, green, and full of depth. The patchouli remains present, but it does not come across as one-dimensional; rather, it is subtly altered by the combination with rum: sometimes bitter, sometimes sweet, sometimes almost creamy. It is this patchouli-soaked rum nuance that makes the fragrance exciting and gives it a unique signature. The base remains earthy and green, yet it is never boring. Instead, it acts like a ground from which the other accords grow. Thus, a fragrance is created that feels both connected to nature and sensually warm. In summary, this is a successful combination of dry patchouli, dark fruits, and boozy warmth. A scent that evokes images of a damp forest after a summer rain, where the foliage is heavy and the ground smells deep. Those who enjoy earthy compositions that take an unusual turn through rum and fruit are likely to find satisfaction here.

Spicy Freshness for Spring and Autumn

The Woodstock Patchouli is a very pleasing scent for all those who appreciate a green, herbal note. It comes with a fresh touch, which is why I think it works wonderfully in spring and autumn. I imagine days when the sun shines brightly for the first or last time, and the patchouli brings a pleasantly natural scent to your nose. For summer, its earthy character isn't quite as suitable, and in winter, it doesn't fit perfectly from my purely subjective perspective. For me, the Woodstock Patchouli is an often underestimated fragrance that is definitely worth having in your collection. All in all, a successful composition.
