A sweet-citrusy start, rising directly to the nose, admittedly somewhat synthetic, but somehow also very delicious. The section in the upscale department store where high-quality, but also fully sugared fruit candies are freely displayed. All three, lime, orange, grapefruit are very balanced in the trio. After 15 minutes, the very sweet, lovely brandy joins in, a young representative, which is also due to the lingering citrus sweetness above it. It reminds me of an overly sweet Brandy Crusta, a drink with brandy/cognac, a bit of lemon juice, and orange liqueur, which gets a fine sugar rim on the cognac glass. It can be genius, but here it leans more towards the too sweet side, yet still smells delicious. Everything then blends nicely, the individual citrus notes and brandy turn into a sauce, especially since it feels like honey is also added, even though it’s not listed in the notes, it develops a strong honey sweetness on my skin starting around 50 minutes. The base takes its time, after 1.5 hours a bit of hay slowly comes through, it becomes a tad drier, but mainly stays on the sweet side, subtle hay in honey, the straw flower and cedar also wrapped in a lot of honey and candied citrus. After 2-2.5 hours, the patchouli comes in and makes it a bit fresher at least, which I think does it good. So it remains, for me not quite as long as it has been rated on average here, 4 hours quite present, then another 2 hours noticeably softer. I find it overall quite amusing, sure, very sweet and all, but not cloying for me and also not as creamy- shallow as some gourmands, but somehow well balanced.
